FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

There are many factors that effect the final cost of your vehicle transport. Rates are based on a combination of the size and weight of the vehicle you are shipping, how far it is going, what part of the country it is being picked up from and delivered to, how quickly you need it shipped, and the type of transport (open or enclosed) you choose. If the vehicle you are transporting is not running the cost will increase. The only way to tell you how much your transport will cost is to get all of the information regarding your transport needs. Use my “Get a Quote” form and I will get you a quote quickly.

Some brokers or carriers will give you a low ball quote to get you to commit to their services and get a deposit from you to lock you in. Once these companies have your deposit you are at their mercy. Many times they will not be able to secure a transport at the rate they quoted you and they will come back to you asking you to accept a higher rate, or your transport will get delayed while they hunt for a carrier. I will only quote you what I truly believe we can get it done for in the time frame that meets your needs. I will try to be as accurate as possible with my quote and I will not make any more money by getting you a higher quote or a lower quote. My main objective is to get your car moved by a quality transporter in a timely manner. I do not take a deposit from you until your vehicle has been picked up.

Once you have agreed to my service I go to work right away to locate a carrier to pick up your vehicle. Once a carrier has been assigned, you will receive a call directly from me. Within 24 hours of the time of pick up you will receive a call from the carrier directly to make arrangements for the pick up. When the carrier arrives they will carefully inspect the vehicle and fill out a detailed report of any damage they notice before carefully loading your vehicle for transport. Upon delivery your vehicle will be carefully offloaded and you will be able to do a walk around of the vehicle to inspect the vehicle for any damage not noted upon pick up. Once satisfied you will be asked to sign a copy of the bill of lading and will be given a copy when you pay the driver the balance owed.

Yes! I will only use carriers who carry a minimum of $750,000 in liability and $100,000 in cargo insurance. Additionally all carriers I use are licensed and bonded. Please realize that the carriers insurance does not include personal property placed inside the vehicle nor ordinary road hazards such as rock chips or hail damage, so you may want to check with your insurance carrier to see if your own coverage will cover these issues, or, get a small policy if needed.

I will take an initial deposit from you with a credit card once your vehicle has been picked up . When your vehicle is delivered you will pay the transporter directly with cash or money order.

When your vehicle is delivered do a thorough walk around inspection in the presence of the driver. If you notice any damage that was not noted on the vehicle inspection report/bill of lading when the vehicle was picked up then point out any such damages to the driver. Be sure to clearly note any damage on the bill of lading and have the driver sign the bill of lading You should NOT sign the bill of lading until the driver signs off on the noted damage. Please notify me of the situation right away and I will work with the carrier and you to try and resolve the claim. You should also notify the carrier right away. The carrier will most likely request an estimate of the cost to fix any damages and should pay any such agreed damages within a few weeks. If you are having difficulty with the carrier the carriers insurance company should be notified and a claim should be filed. I can assist in obtaining this information. I would recommend taking digital pictures of any damage and keeping all paperwork in case a claim needs to be made.

Personal items stored inside your vehicle are not covered by insurance and the carrier will not be responsible if these items are lost, stolen, or damaged. Most carriers will not transport a vehicle that has more than 100 pounds of personal items loaded in the car unless this has been previously approved or arranged as it affects the total weight of their shipment. It is important that any personal items do not interfere with the drivers ability to load or unload your vehicle.

If you know when you will need a vehicle transported then it is always great to arrange this a few weeks in advance. However, because I have access to such a huge network of carriers I can usually get your transport arranged within a few days and many times within a few hours. The more flexible you can be, the greater the chances we can arrange the transport within your budget.

I will try to make myself accessible to you 7 days a week and I am often available up until 11pm in the evening Eastern Time. My goal is to earn your business through extraordinary service, and therefore I will try to make myself as accessible to you as possible. You can try reaching me at 770-359-8400 and if I am not available when you call, leave me a message and I will get back to you quickly.

The transporters I use will make every effort to facilitate door to door service. However, some areas do not allow large commercial vehicles and other areas may not be feasible for the driver to deliver in. In these situations the drivers will do their best to communicate with you to pick a spot that is convenient, safe, and well lit such as a parking lot in a shopping center near your home or business.

I can arrange for your vehicle to be transported to a port of your choice, and I have contacts that can assist you in making proper arrangements to ship your vehicle out of the country.
